茨城県北茨城市の「砥上屋旅館」に行ってきました。

明治40年に創立された老舗料亭旅館。
築100年以上の立派な木造三階建ては、古風な雰囲気を醸し出します。
名物のあんこう鍋が絶品と評判な料理自慢のお宿です。

平潟港を一望できる温泉は、贅沢な源泉掛け流しです。
泉質は塩化物泉。
塩気が強く、筋肉疲労や関節症、冷え性に効果があります。
家族風呂もあるので、ゆっくり温泉に浸かることができました。

お部屋にはご主人が表装をした掛け軸が飾ってあり、とても和の趣を感じます。
おもてなしの心溢れるお宿でした。

I visited “Tokamiya Ryokan” in Kitaibaraki City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

This long-established ryotei ryokan was founded in 1907.
The magnificent three-story wooden building, more than 100 years old, exudes an old-fashioned atmosphere.
The inn is proud of its cuisine, with its famous ankou-nabe (monkfish stew) being highly regarded as an exquisite dish.

The onsen overlooking Hirakata Harbor is a luxurious hot-spring bath with free-flowing hot-spring water.
The spring water is a chloride spring.
It is salty and effective for muscle fatigue, arthritis, and sensitivity to cold.
There is also a family bath, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot spring.

The rooms are decorated with hanging scrolls, a hobby of the owner, and are very tasteful.
I would like to visit this inn again for its hospitality.
